These are full-time, paid positions in clinical settings, as opposed to volunteering or shadowing. They are also expected to be gap-year opportunities, meaning students do not have to feel tied to their work and can receive ample support/mentorship while interviewing and preparing for the medical school application process.Students gain a robust experience to help with their health professional applications, while the Cleveland Clinic gets excellent support staff to ease the healthcare shortage in that area. Most of their Clinical Associates graduated in May 2023 and have already been successfully admitted into medical school for the upcoming cycle.Dr. Jeffrey Brown will be presenting on this incredible opportunity for students interested in pursuing a gap year(s) between their undergraduate and professional school careers. Dr. Brown is a Family Medicine physician at the Cleveland Clinic, and is on faculty at both the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine and Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine as an Assistant Professor of Family Medicine.  This event can also be attended virtually: https://osu.zoom.us/j/96095736071?pwd=ZWl3ZmdWZXE3cHRPeGplSjAxb1hIUT09. Meeting ID: 960 9573 6071 Password: ascgapyear This event is open to ALL OSU students, exploration students, and recent alumni.
